"Amelia was a wonderful roommate in almost every way. She was funny, kind, and always shared her snacks. But she had one tiny, enormous, cup-shaped secret. Everywhere she went, she left a trail of empty cups."

"Her roommate, Sofia, was a master of neatness. Her side of the room was a sanctuary of organization, with books stacked perfectly and clothes neatly folded. But Amelia's cup collection was starting to invade, like a slow-motion, ceramic avalanche."

"One morning, Sofia found a cup in the shower. The next day, one was perched on the television. She even found one nestled among her clean sweaters. "Amelia," she'd say gently, "Cups?" Amelia would just laugh, "Oops! My bad!" and forget all about it."

"Sofia decided to get creative. She started stacking the cups, creating little towers on Amelia's desk. First, a small one. Then a taller one. Soon, she had built a magnificent, wobbly structure that almost touched the ceiling."

"Amelia stared at the "Leaning Tower of Cup-isa." "Whoa, Sofia! Is that modern art?" she asked, impressed. "It's a cry for help," Sofia replied, deadpan. But the art installation didn't solve the problem."

"The next week, Sofia tried a new tactic: labeling. She got a marker and wrote little notes on each new cup she found. "I once held delicious coffee. Now I am lonely. - Sir Reginald Muggington." Or "Please return me to the kitchen. I miss my faucet friends. - Gilda Glass.""

"Amelia thought the notes were hilarious. She started collecting her favorite ones, pinning the cups to her bulletin board like trophies. The cups, however, remained unwashed. Sofia sighed. Her brilliant plans were only encouraging the chaos."

"The breaking point came on a Tuesday. Amelia, in a rush to get to class, swung her backpack on. It snagged the corner of her desk, right next to the legendary cup tower. Time seemed to slow down. The tower wobbled. It swayed. And then... CRASH!"

"A sea of plastic, ceramic, and glass covered her side of the room. In the middle of the wreckage sat a single, unbroken teacup. Amelia looked at the mess, then at Sofia, who was peeking out from behind a chair. For the first time, Amelia didn't laugh. "Oops," she whispered."

"From that day on, the Great Cup-tastrophe of Tuesday was never forgotten. Amelia became a champion of cup-cleaning. She even bought a special, ridiculously cool mug that she washed immediately after every use. And Sofia never found a cup in her sweater drawer again."
