"Amma, Priya’s grandmother, saw her sadness. She gently sat beside Priya. 'My dear,' Amma said softly, 'Dada-ji is in a beautiful place now. And even though we can't see him, we can still show him our love and respect through a special ceremony called Shraddh. It helps his soul find peace and reminds us of all the wonderful memories we shared.'"

"Amma explained that the first few days were for grieving and remembering. On the tenth day, called 'Dashagatra,' they went to the sacred ghats by the river. 'Here,' Amma explained, 'we offer 'pindas' – small balls of rice and sesame seeds. It's like giving Dada-ji a farewell gift, helping his soul prepare for its journey to the next world.'"

"The eleventh day was for inviting learned Brahmins to their home. 'We offer them food and gifts,' Amma said, 'as a way of honoring them and seeking their blessings for Dada-ji’s journey. It’s believed that what we offer to them reaches our ancestors.'"

"On the twelfth day, they performed the 'Sapindikarana Shraddh.' Amma explained, 'This is a very important day, Priya. It’s when Dada-ji’s individual soul is believed to merge with the souls of his ancestors, becoming part of the larger family in the spiritual realm. It’s like he’s joining a big, loving family reunion in the sky.'"

"The thirteenth day was for 'Shanti Paath,' a prayer for peace. Family and friends gathered to offer their condolences and share stories about Dada-ji.
