"In the beginning, there was just a big, warm soup of stuff. It was a bit like a giant, bubbly bath, but instead of rubber ducks, it was full of tiny, wriggly things. One of these wriggly things was a little spark of life named Sid."

"Sid wasn't alone for long. Soon, the soup was full of other little sparks, all bumping and bobbing around. They were all different shapes and sizes, like a big, underwater party."

"Over a very, very long time, some of the little sparks started to stick together. They found that being in a group was better than being alone. They could do more things, like wiggle faster and find more food."

"As time went on, these groups of sparks started to change even more. Some grew little fins to help them swim, and others grew little mouths to help them eat. One of these new creatures was a fishy fellow named Finn."
5
– Page 5
"Finn loved to swim, but he was always curious about what was outside the water. He would swim to the surface and peek out, wondering about the big, bright light in the sky."

"One day, Finn saw something new. It was land! It looked a bit like a big, brown rock, but it was covered in green stuff. Finn was determined to get a closer look."
7
– Page 7
"Finn started to practice pushing himself out of the water with his fins. It was hard work! He would flop and flail, but he didn't give up."
8
– Page 8
"Over a long, long time, Finn's fins started to get stronger. They became a bit like little legs. He could now pull himself onto the land and take a few wobbly steps."

"He was no longer just a fish. He was something new! He could live in the water and on the land. He was an explorer, the first of his kind to walk on the shore."

"And so, from a tiny spark in a soupy sea, life had taken its first big step. And it was all thanks to a curious little fellow who dared to wonder what was beyond the water."
